| Scott Heffernan, a member of the Key Peninsula Writers’ Guild, currently lives south of Seattle Washington, in his childhood home where he is the primary care giver for his elderly. At the end of July, 2007, it became obvious that his parents needed help with their daily routine. Heffernan decided to move back "home" to care for them. it's time.... is a moving compilation of experiences portrayed in essays and poetry that we will all have to deal with as our parents age. The book is both touching and inspirational as Heffernan tells of the trials and joys surrounding the waning days of his parents. Jewels Is the follow up to Heffernan's successful first offering. In late 2008 Heffernan's father passed away. This book is for everyone who has ever lost a parent, had a parent or known a parent. |
