Author Ted Olinger
Phone 253-530-3463
Ted Olinger has been a contributing editor at Canoe
& Kayak magazine, and his work has appeared in
House, Sea Kayaker, Wetdawg, and regional
newspapers. Ted's book of stories about the
peninsula, The Woodpecker Menace, won
Honorable Mention in Foreword Reviews’ 2014
Book of the Year Awards and was named one of the
top ten indie books of the year by Bookbag
Reviews. It's been said, “Olinger uses wit and
warmth to weave a picture of rural life that is both
charming and moving... The Key Peninsula is
painted so evocatively that it's almost a character
itself. Olinger draws from his life on the peninsula
to create a collection that is humorous and, at times,
heartbreaking, lovely to read and deeply
satisfying.”
